Degree programmes
With around 60 courses per semester, the University of Vienna offers one of the most extensive ranges of teaching in the field of musicology in the entire German-speaking area, and which includes the major fields of this academic discipline: historical, comparative and systematic musicology. Alongside the academics employed by the institute, there are also numerous guest lecturers, thus creating great diversity and breadth in the teaching offered.
